No move to Man City. Chelsea want to keep Enzo Maresca long term

Manchester City have shown interest in Enzo Maresca and are ready to consider him as a managerial option should Guardiola depart. However, Chelsea have no intention of letting him go.

Details: According to Ben Jacobs, the London club’s hierarchy are unwilling to part ways with Enzo Maresca. He is under contract until 2030, meaning that if City were to pursue him, they would have to pay a substantial compensation fee.

Chelsea are currently refusing to comment on the Manchester City rumours. Their priority is to keep the head coach at the club.

After 16 rounds, Chelsea sit fourth in the Premier League table with 28 points, holding a two-point advantage over the team in fifth place. Their next match is scheduled for Saturday, 20 December, against Newcastle.

Reminder: After the victory over Everton, Enzo Maresca said that the previous 48 hours had been the toughest of his career at Chelsea. He was later asked again about those comments.
