After the win over Everton, Enzo Maresca said that the last 48 hours had been the toughest of his Chelsea career. He has now been asked again about those comments.

Details: Speaking at a press conference, the Chelsea manager said he has nothing further to add. He stated that he said everything he needed to say at the time, after the Everton match, and has nothing more to add now.

Quote: “I have nothing to add. I am focused on tomorrow’s game and on reaching a third semi-final during my time at the club. I said clearly what I needed to say. Now we are focused on Cardiff,” Maresca said.

Chelsea will face Cardiff in the EFL Cup quarter-final on Tuesday, December 16, away from home. Kick-off is scheduled for 21:00 CET.

Chelsea currently sit fourth in the Premier League table with 28 points after 16 matches, holding a two-point advantage over fifth place.

Reminder: Cole Palmer, who returned to the Blues’ starting line-up after a long injury layoff, managed to get on the scoresheet in the match against Everton.
