Nightmare in Amsterdam! Top Nations League clash turns into a double disaster by the 35th minute

Details: The opening-round Nations League clash between the Netherlands and Germany at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam began with a series of setbacks for both teams. By the 35th minute, both national-team managers had been forced into substitutions after their leading forwards suffered muscle injuries.

The first casualty was Germany and London Arsenal forward Kai Havertz. In the 29th minute, the 27-year-old German began to limp and was forced to leave the pitch with a suspected hamstring injury, making way for debutant Younes Ebnoutalib. Just a few minutes later, Netherlands and Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey also suffered an injury. The Oranje forward appeared to hurt his hamstring, and while he was lying on the turf, Germany continued its attack and opened the scoring through Felix Nmecha, triggering a furious reaction from the hosts. In the 35th minute, Brobbey also left the pitch, with Mexx Meerdink coming on in his place.
