The Nigerian national football team has found itself in a bizarre situation, particularly for the 21st century, as tomorrow's match against Libya is now under threat.

Details: After the Nigerian squad landed at the Benghazi airport in Libya, the host nation failed to organize transportation for the visitors to take them to their hotel.

Initially, Nigeria was supposed to land at Al Abraq International Airport, but the pilot landed the plane in Benghazi instead, which is a three-hour drive from the hotel.

As a result, the Nigerian players spent 16 hours at Benghazi airport, where they had no access to food or communication. Even the Wi-Fi at the airport was non-functional.

Sixteen hours after their landing, the Libyan Football Association eventually sent a bus to the airport, but its size and condition caused laughter and disbelief among the "Super Eagles."

Currently, negotiations are underway between the Nigerian and Libyan football federations, as the Nigerian players are refusing to play following the poor treatment they received.

Nigerian star Victor Osimhen took to his Instagram page to condemn the actions of the Libyan Football Association and called on CAF to intervene.

Reminder: In the home fixture, Nigeria defeated Libya 1-0. After three matches in the AFCON 2025 qualifiers, the "Super Eagles" have collected 7 points and lead their group.
