Neymar gives emotional press conference after renewing contract with Santos
Santos star Neymar held a press conference after it was officially announced that he had extended his contract with the club. The Brazilian shared a short video from the event on his Instagram page.
The video shows Neymar entering the press conference room before fielding questions from the assembled media.
"Ney didn't expect this! ✋😛🤚 Neymar's first press conference after renewing his contract with Santos was special, warm, and safe," reads the caption under the video.
It's worth noting that Neymar's family attended the event with him—his father, his partner Bruna Biancardi, and their young daughter Mavie can all be seen in the footage.
As a reminder, Neymar and Santos have signed an agreement that runs until the end of 2025. Until then, the 33-year-old Brazilian will continue to represent his boyhood club. At the moment, Santos is not in the best position, currently sitting 15th in the Brazilian championship.
