One of the legends of Brazilian football could be making a comeback to the European stage.
Details: According to Globo, Santos have opened talks with Neymar regarding a contract extension, but the player himself is in no rush to commit.
The 33-year-old Neymar is not ruling out a departure from his boyhood club Santos. However, given his previous promise not to play for any Brazilian club other than Santos, a move to one of Europe’s top leagues is clearly on the cards.
The last season proved extremely challenging for Neymar — a string of persistent injuries prevented him from having a full campaign, and he went on holiday after making just 12 appearances in the 2024/25 season, scoring three goals.
Recall: Neymar turned down offers from Fluminense and Pachuca in order to focus on the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
