Newcastle has agreed to its first transfer of the summer transfer window. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Magpies will buy out the contract of left-back Lewis Hall from London-based Chelsea.

The loan agreement included a clause stating that the club must buy the player if they finish the English Premier League season no lower than 14th place in the table. After last night's victory over Tottenham (4-0), the Magpies amassed 50 points and climbed to sixth place in the league, ensuring the automatic purchase of Hall.

The buyout option for the young footballer is £28 million. In the current season, Hall has played 16 matches for Newcastle, scoring one goal and receiving two yellow cards.
