Newcastle is determined to strengthen their defensive line and has already identified their top candidate for the position.
Details: According to talkSPORT, the Magpies are interested in Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guéhi. The club has made several attempts to sign him last season and is now preparing to renew their pursuit. Guéhi has become a priority transfer target, alongside Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo.
Incidentally, Newcastle defender Tino Livramento remains Manchester City's main target to reinforce their right flank in defence. However, given the Magpies' reluctance to part with their player, the deal appears far from straightforward.
Reminder: Newcastle is also looking to bring Julián Weigl back to Europe after his stint in Saudi Arabia. The 22-year-old midfielder is attracting interest from Newcastle, who had already shown interest in Veiga last summer.
