Newcastle unlikely to make £100m on their midfielder
One of Newcastle's main assets is midfielder Bruno Guimarães, who is attracting the attention of top clubs, but the latter want to save money on the Brazilian's transfer.
Manchester City and Arsenal are interested in the services of the 26-year-old midfielder, but, as reported byFootballTransfers, both these clubs do not intend to give for Guimarães the amount of pay-off, which is written in his contract and is 100 million pounds.
Both these clubs intend to wait until July, when the aforementioned clause in the Brazilian's condition expires, to try and bargain with Newcastle. But the Magpies have so far shown no willingness to let their leader go for less than £100million.
Moreover, Manchester City are not ready to offer Guimarães an ironclad place in the main squad, and can only give him the role of Rodri's understudy in midfield.
