Newcastle is prepared to lure the goalkeeper from Arsenal
The English goalkeeper of London's Arsenal, Aaron Ramsdale, was the mainstay of Mikel Arteta's team just a year ago, but now he is on the brink of departing from the ranks of the Gunners.
The arrival and successful performances of Spaniard David Raya have unsettled the position of the 26-year-old goalkeeper within the London club. Consequently, this season Ramsdale has only featured in 11 matches, conceding 11 goals and keeping his net clear on three occasions.
Despite his existing contract until 2026, the player has expressed a desire to change clubs due to a lack of playing time. According to reports from the English press, a contender for Aaron has emerged almost immediately.
Newcastle is exploring avenues to bolster its squad in the upcoming summer transfer window, and has been actively engaging in negotiations in recent days regarding the transfer of the seasoned goalkeeper.
It is worth noting that Arsenal paid Sheffield United 28 million euros in the summer of 2021 for Ramsdale, and his current value is estimated at 25 million euros.
