Newcastle have set out their plans for the summer transfer window

The current season in the performance of Newcastle can not be called outstanding. Eddie High's side are languishing in the middle of the Premier League table, and in the Champions League they failed to qualify even for the Europa League, which is pushing the club into a bit of a squad reset.

According to iNews, the Magpies, despite the flexibility of their default transfer targets, have targeted three positions they want to strengthen in the summer. They are: a young versatile striker, a midfielder and an adaptive centre-back.

Newcastle are also strengthening the scouting network, investing good money in this direction and closing those leagues where the club previously had no representatives.

It is worth recalling that now the activity of "forty" in the transfer market is somewhat complicated due to financial fair-play. Newcastle wanted to strengthen in the winter, but it became impossible because of the reported losses of 73 million pounds and now, in order to conduct a quality summer transfer campaign, the club will have to say goodbye to someone.
