Far from the first attempt, but Newcastle have still managed to agree a contract with their leader and keep him from leaving for another club.
Details: As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Magpies have agreed a new deal with winger Anthony Gordon. The current contract runs until June 2026, but the 23-year-old will sign until 2029. Gordon's salary will also increase, he will become one of Newcastle's highest paid players.
Recall: In the summer transfer window active attempts to sign the winger was made by Liverpool, because it was in the academy ‘scousers’ until the age of 11 was brought up Gordon. At Anfield they were ready to include their defender Joe Gomez in the deal.
