Experienced Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, tired of playing a backup role, has decided to leave the team this winter.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Dubravka has agreed on the terms of a contract with Saudi club Al-Shabab.
Now, Dubravka and Al-Shabab are awaiting Newcastle’s approval for the transfer. It is expected that the Magpies will allow the move, as Dubravka's contract is set to expire this summer.
This season, the 35-year-old Slovak international has made five Premier League appearances, with Nick Pope remaining Newcastle’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Reminder: Yesterday, Newcastle defeated Arsenal in the first leg of the English League Cup semi-final.
