INEOS, the company that co-owns Manchester United, has found itself at the center of a legal dispute in another sport.
Details: The New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) has officially filed a lawsuit against INEOS.
The reason for the lawsuit is an alleged breach of the sponsorship agreement between NZRU and INEOS. The company is accused of failing to make the first sponsorship payment for 2025, as stipulated in the contract. INEOS denies all allegations.
The sponsorship deal between the two parties is set to run for six years.
Reminder: Rugby superstar Jarryd Hayne is making a comeback to the sport after a seven-year hiatus following his release from prison.
