At the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar, Morocco delivered a staggering performance, thrashing New Caledonia 16-0 — the largest victory margin in the tournament's history.
The match took place on November 9 in Doha, and the Oceania side was reduced to nine men in the first half, which inevitably affected the final result. The African squad unleashed 80 shots over 90 minutes, with 29 of them on target.
Thanks to this emphatic win, Morocco has secured a spot in the knockout stage, while New Caledonia suffered one of the heaviest defeats in the history of their youth football.
