Lille could be in for a lucrative summer.
Details: According to legendary insider Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, Ipswich Town has made its first offer for Lille's central defender, Alexsandro. The English club has already entered negotiations with the French side and is aiming to seal the Brazilian's transfer during the summer window.
Sources report that the potential deal could be worth around €30 million. While other European clubs are also showing interest in the 25-year-old defender, the Premier League newcomers are determined to beat the competition.
Having just returned to the Premier League, Ipswich is actively working to bolster its squad ahead of the new campaign. The club's management considers Alexsandro one of the top priorities to strengthen the back line.
Last season wasn't particularly successful for Alexsandro. The Brazilian made only 11 appearances for Lille and didn't register any goal contributions. His market value, according to Transfermarkt, stands at €15 million.
