New season favorite? Oscar Piastri leads Formula 1 drivers' standings for the first time

McLaren driver Oscar Piastri won the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and for the first time in his career topped the drivers' standings. The race was decided by a five-second penalty for Verstappen after an incident at the first corner of the opening lap.
The Australian claimed victory in his second consecutive race following his triumph at the Bahrain Grand Prix, displacing his teammate Lando Norris from the top spot. Notably, Piastri won his fifth career race, equaling Norris and now leading him by 10 points in the standings.
Interestingly, the Jeddah circuit became the 50th venue where the British team McLaren has won in Formula 1.
Additionally, reigning world champion Max Verstappen finished in second place, and Charles Leclerc secured Ferrari's first podium of the current season.
