Major changes are on the horizon for CONMEBOL.
Details: According to Alejo_deportes, tomorrow at the 82nd CONMEBOL Congress, the organization’s leadership will announce the creation of a brand-new tournament—the CONMEBOL Confederation Cup.
The new competition is expected to feature 32 participants from clubs under the CONMEBOL umbrella, but Brazilian teams will not take part in the inaugural edition.

The tournament is set to kick off in March 2027, with the winner taking home a $10 million prize.
It is also reported that tomorrow preliminary plans and proposals regarding the 2028 Copa América, which will be held in the United States, will be presented.
