Porto have distanced themselves from the Lewandowski transfer rumors.
Details: Porto president Andre Villas-Boas addressed recent media speculation that the Dragons are preparing to sign the 37-year-old Barcelona striker this summer.
Although Lewandowski is set to become a free agent soon, Villas-Boas admitted that the club simply cannot meet the Pole’s financial demands:
“As you can imagine, even considering Lewandowski is financially impossible for us,” Villas-Boas stated.
Lewandowski's contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the current season, and there are currently no guarantees of an extension.
This season, Lewandowski has made 43 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 18 goals and providing 4 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated at 8 million euros.
