Details: 51-year-old Portuguese tactician Sérgio Conceição is officially being considered as one of the main candidates for the Belgium national team managerial position.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the coach’s representatives have already held preliminary talks with the Royal Belgian Football Association. However, there have been no direct negotiations yet between Conceição himself and the Belgian side at this stage.

Following the decision not to renew Rudi Garcia’s contract, the Federation is actively searching for a new leader to take charge of the national team ahead of the next international cycle. Conceição is regarded as one of the most experienced candidates, thanks to his success at club level and his proven ability to deliver results.

It is expected that the Belgian side will soon finalize their shortlist of candidates and move on to the next phase of negotiations.
