A tough decision! The official fate of Rudi Garcia as Belgium national team head coach has been decided

The Belgium national team will now be led by a new coach.

Details: The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) has announced that Rudi Garcia will step down as head coach of the national team at the end of his contract on July 31, 2026. Both parties have agreed not to extend their cooperation.

The French manager took charge of the Belgian national team on February 1, 2025, succeeding Domenico Tedesco. Under his guidance, the team played in qualifying and final matches of major international tournaments.

Garcia's last tournament at the helm of the Red Devils was the 2026 World Cup, where Belgium exited after a defeat to Spain. In total, Garcia managed 20 matches as Belgium boss, recording 12 wins, 6 draws, and 2 losses.

The RBFA will now begin the search for a new head coach who will prepare the national team for upcoming international competitions.
