Neuer speaks out about his 700th match

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer shared his thoughts on his 700th professional match.

The anniversary for the legendary goalkeeper was the Champions League game against Manchester United, in which the German team won with a score of 1:0.

According to the footballer, he did not follow the statistics and did not pay attention to it.

“I was not aware of this fact. But now I’m as ready as possible to play at a high level. I couldn’t even think that everything would go so well after breaking my leg and that I would be able to continuously maintain the rhythm of the game.

If we talk about the result, we are very happy. And I am very grateful to the doctors,” Neuer said in a comment to the official UEFA website.

It is reasonable to mention that Neuer is a graduate of the Schalke 04 academy, and he moved to Bayern Munich in 2011. In total, he conceded 588 goals while keeping a clean sheet in 318 matches.
