Manchester United set a Champions League anti-record
Manchester United continues to set all sorts of anti-records throughout this season.
At the end of the group stage of the Champions League, Erik ten Hag's team took fourth place with four points, which was the worst result in the club's history.
In the current season, the Red Devils won only one match in the Champions League - they defeated Copenhagen at home (1:0), followed by an away draw with Galatasaray (3:3). In other matches, Manchester United lost to the same opponents and lost two more times to Bayern.
This was the sixth time in Manchester United's history that the team failed to qualify from the group stage in the Champions League. Interestingly, in five previous cases the club always scored at least six points, which happened to them in the 1994/1995 and 2005/2006 seasons.
By the way, over the last ten editions of the Champions League, the team from Manchester has made it to the playoffs of the tournament three times.
