Bayern Munich are actively pursuing the transfer of Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon. According to Sky Sports, direct negotiations between the clubs have already begun regarding a potential summer move for the Englishman.
The 25-year-old is on the shortlist of several top European clubs. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona are all showing interest in the player, but Bayern are currently considered the frontrunners in the race for his signature.
Reports suggest that Gordon himself is open to leaving Newcastle at the end of the season. The Magpies' management are under financial pressure and may be forced to sell one of their key players to comply with financial fair play regulations.
The English club values their player at around £75 million. Bayern, however, are looking to drive the price down and are prepared to offer approximately £55 million.
