The reigning NBA season MVP and Philadelphia's leader, Joel Embiid, was absent from today's match against Utah, resulting in a 127-124 outcome, due to a meniscus injury.

Initially, insider Shams Charania reported that the Cameroonian center had suffered a meniscus tear, a setback that could sideline him for the remainder of the season. However, he later conveyed that sources within the club had not confirmed this information.

As of now, Philadelphia has not finalized the treatment approach for the basketball player, making it impossible to determine the timeline for his return.

In the current season, Embiid has participated in 34 matches, boasting an average of 35.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game.
