Today, on December 2, in Östersund, Sweden, the men's sprint race took place. It was the first sprint of the new season. Yesterday, the women's sprint race was held, the results of which we reported earlier.

The best time was shown by the German athlete Philipp Nawrath, who won his first race at a World Cup stage. Alongside him on the podium were two Norwegians—Tarjei Boe and Soerum. It's worth noting that all three athletes didn't miss a single shot during shooting.

The best run time on the track belonged to the Swede Sebastian Samuelsson, but two missed shots pushed him to fourth place. Johannes Thingnes Boe showed only the 18th time. The Norwegian missed three shots and trailed Nawrath by one minute and 35 seconds. However, this gap cannot be considered substantial, and Boe will certainly contend for victory in tomorrow's pursuit race.
