The conflict between Napoli and Romelu Lukaku has reached a breaking point, and it appears the club are ready to take radical action.
Details: According to Repubblica, Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku could be excluded from the Napoli squad for the remainder of the season. In the summer of 2026, the club will attempt to sell the player.
Earlier, it was reported that the conflict erupted because Lukaku’s rehabilitation programme in Belgium had not been agreed with the medical and coaching staff of Napoli. Antonio Conte and his assistants expected the player to return to Naples as early as last Thursday.
Reminder: Romelu decided to continue training in Belgium, explaining that he needed to regain full fitness ahead of the final stage of the season and the 2026 World Cup. The club viewed such behaviour as a blatant breach of discipline.
