Napoli targets Juventus defender Danilo
Juventus could lose one of its experienced defenders in the upcoming winter transfer window. According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Brazilian defender Danilo might leave the club to join Napoli.
Details. Napoli’s head coach Antonio Conte has long been an admirer of Danilo. Additionally, the club’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, previously worked at Juventus and is well-acquainted with the Brazilian defender.
However, completing Danilo’s transfer may not be straightforward. Juventus is in need of defensive reinforcements themselves and might be reluctant to let go of an experienced player.
Context. This season, Danilo has lost his spot in Juventus’ starting lineup following the arrival of new coach Thiago Motta. Despite this, he remains a valuable player for several Serie A clubs, including league leaders Napoli.
