Juventus is reportedly considering Ipswich striker Liam Delap as a potential replacement for Dušan Vlahović. While the Turin club remains intent on renewing the Serbian forward’s contract, negotiations have yet to yield results.
Details. According to The Mirror, Juventus is exploring the possibility of signing former Manchester City academy talent Liam Delap. Scouts from the Italian club recently attended Ipswich’s match against Manchester United to assess the 21-year-old forward in person.
If Vlahović does not sign a new contract by the end of the season, Juventus may sell him next summer to avoid the risk of losing him on a free transfer.
Context. Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring Delap’s progress, while Manchester City retains a buy-back option and a 20% sell-on clause as part of the deal that sent him to Ipswich. This season, the young striker has scored six goals in 13 Premier League matches.
