Napoli legend officially announces he is staying at the club

After prolonged negotiations and various rumors about a possible departure from the club, Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo has made a significant decision.

Today, Napoli officially announced that the experienced right-back has decided to stay with his current club. To announce this, Di Lorenzo wrote a special message to the fans.

“I listened to the words of President De Laurentiis and coach Conte. And here is what I will say to you, without making empty statements and promises — I can't wait to start all over again. Because I feel like one of you from the beginning”, Di Lorenzo declared.

At the same time, Di Lorenzo candidly admitted that he wanted to leave the club after the season ended and accept an offer from Juventus.

Di Lorenzo has been with Napoli since the summer of 2019. Since then, he has made 231 appearances, scored 15 goals, and provided 36 assists. Before Napoli, he played for Empoli and Reggina.
