Napoli is set to extend the contract with their striker, Victor Osimhen, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
According to sources, the parties have reached a preliminary agreement to extend their collaboration for another season, until June 2026. Additionally, a clause specifying a release fee of 130 million euros has been included. An official announcement is expected shortly.
Recall that on July 31, 2020, the Nigerian signed a four-year contract with the Italian Napoli. The transfer cost the Italians 70 million euros (plus a possible 10 million euros in bonuses), making Osimhen the most expensive acquisition in Napoli's history.
Furthermore, Napoli's forward Victor Osimhen was named the best player of Serie A for the 2022/23 season. His 26 goals in Serie A made a significant contribution to Napoli's long-awaited Scudetto, delighting the Neapolitan fans.
By the way, Chelsea is closely monitoring the situation with the Nigerian and is even considering the possibility of selling Armando Broja to finance Osimhen's acquisition for 100 million pounds. The striker, who scored 26 goals in the league, brought Napoli the Scudetto last season after 33 years, and he also made history by becoming the first African player to win the Serie A Golden Boot.
