Napoli have postponed the medical examination of the defender. Is there a threat to the transfer?
Napoli has rescheduled the medical examination for Torino and Italy defender Alessandro Buongiorno.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the examination has been moved to Friday because the documents will only be ready by Thursday.
There is no threat to the deal, however. The parties have agreed on a transfer fee of €35 million and a five-year contract, as Antonio Conte was very keen on acquiring him.
Buongiorno is a key player for Torino. In the recently concluded season, he scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in 29 Serie A matches. He has played a total of 109 games for the "Bulls."
The 25-year-old defender also went with the Italy national team to Euro 2024 but did not play a single minute in the tournament. Buongiorno has 4 caps for the "Squadra Azzurra."
Previously, we reported that the Neapolitan club had agreed on the transfer of the Euro 2020 champion.
Napoli finished only tenth in Serie A last season, whereas they won the Scudetto in the 2022/23 season. The legendary Antonio Conte has become the new head coach of the Neapolitans.
