Napoli have agreed a transfer deal for the 2020 European champion

Center-back Alessandro Buongiorno won't be the only addition to Napoli's defense this summer, as the club has secured another prominent defender.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli's new left-back will be Leonardo Spinazzola, the Euro 2020 champion with Italy. All transfer details have been agreed upon, and an official announcement is imminent.
The 31-year-old will sign a contract with Napoli until the summer of 2026.
Spinazzola joins Napoli as a free agent. His previous club was Roma, which he left after the last season. During his five years with the Romans, Spinazzola played 151 matches, scored 7 goals, and made 21 assists.
Before Roma, Spinazzola played for Atalanta, Siena, Perugia, and Juventus' youth team.
Last season, Napoli finished only in tenth place in Serie A, a stark contrast to their Scudetto-winning campaign in 2022/23. The club's new head coach is the legendary Antonio Conte.
