Details: According to Alfredo Pedullà, the first round of negotiations between Liverpool and Napoli took place yesterday regarding the potential transfer of the 25-year-old Reds forward Darwin Núñez to the Neapolitan side.
It is reported that Napoli have offered £37 million and are pushing for a swift decision to avoid competition from other clubs. Liverpool, meanwhile, are holding out for £42 million, as well as additional bonuses to be paid should Núñez perform successfully in Italy.
Negotiations are currently in an active phase, and the transfer could be completed as early as this weekend.
Last season, Darwin Núñez played 47 matches for the Reds, scoring only 7 goals—a tally that clearly disappointed the club’s management.
Darwin joined Liverpool from Benfica in 2022 for €85 million. His contract runs until 2028, and his current market value is estimated at €45 million.
