Munich intrigue! Bayern enters the race for Kounde
Bayern is considering a move for Barcelona defender Jules Kounde in this summer transfer window.
Details: According to Marca, the Munich side is seriously eyeing the Frenchman: as reported by Bild, the club has already inquired and reached out to the player's entourage following his impressive World Cup run with France. However, Kounde has made it clear: he's happy in Catalonia, having extended his contract until 2030 just a year ago, and he has no intention of leaving Barcelona.

The situation, however, is far from simple: Barcelona is willing to consider offers in the range of 50–60 million euros, and there are four European giants in the hunt: Bayern, Tottenham, Arsenal, and PSG. But there's a hurdle for the Bavarians: before they can enter into serious negotiations, the club needs to offload several players and free up space in the squad.
For Vincent Kompany's Bayern, finding a defender has become a top priority after the departure of Eric Dier and the possible exit of Kim Min-jae. Transfermarkt values the 27-year-old Kounde at 60 million euros, and the Munich side rates his versatility highly: the Frenchman is equally strong both in central defense and on the right flank.
Reminder: Bayern tries to steal Barcelona's superstar! Transfer of the summer?
