Everton faces Brighton in the 23rd round of the English Premier League, and the match will be a landmark occasion for Everton manager David Moyes.

Details. Today, Moyes will take charge of his 700th Premier League game (430 with Everton, 34 with Manchester United, 38 with Sunderland, and 198 with West Ham United).

He becomes only the third manager in the history of England's top division to reach this milestone, following Arsène Wenger (828) and Sir Alex Ferguson (810).

Background. In January, Moyes once again returned to Everton. The Scottish manager had previously coached the Toffees for 11 years, from 2002 to 2013. Under his leadership, the team reached the FA Cup final in 2009, and he managed nearly 500 games during his first spell with the club.

Moyes left Everton to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, but his tenure was short-lived, as he departed the club in April 2014 before completing the season.

Moyes' greater successes came with West Ham United, where he led the team to victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
