Official: David Moyes returns as Everton manager
Nearly 12 years after leaving, David Moyes has returned to the managerial role at Everton. The announcement was made on January 11, marking the Scotsman’s second tenure with the Toffees.
Details: Moyes has signed a contract with the Liverpool-based club, with media reports suggesting it runs until 2027. Everton is expected to unveil Moyes' coaching staff at Goodison Park in the near future.
Reminder: Moyes previously managed Everton for 11 years, from 2002 to 2013. During his tenure, he led the team to the FA Cup final in 2009 and managed nearly 500 matches with the Toffees.
He left Everton to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United but was dismissed before the end of the 2013–2014 season in April 2014.
More recently, Moyes achieved significant success with West Ham, guiding them to victory in the UEFA Conference League.
