Mourinho hopes Manchester United will be crowned champions of the 2017/18 EPL season
Tomorrow, Fenerbahçe, managed by the legendary José Mourinho, will face Manchester United in their UEFA Europa League Matchday 3 encounter. Ahead of the game, Mourinho was asked many questions about his time at Old Trafford.
Details: Mourinho notably expressed his hope that he could still become a Premier League champion with Manchester United — but only if Manchester City are found guilty of their 115 Financial Fair Play violations.
“I think Man Utd still have a chance to win that league [2017/18 season] if they punish Manchester City. In that case, I hope they give me my medal and pay me the bonus!”.
Mourinho also fondly recalled his time at Manchester United.
“I wish all the best to Man United. I’ve been happy there, we won the Europa League, second in the league…
I left United with good feelings for both clubs and fans. If things are not working for Man United, I’m never happy”.
Reminder: Manchester United are currently managed by Erik ten Hag, who is under pressure with rumors of a potential dismissal.
