Mourinho doesn’t believe Ferguson needs an ambassador role at Man United
INEOS's decision to part ways with Sir Alex Ferguson as an ambassador for Manchester United has sparked mixed reactions among the public. However, former Red Devils manager José Mourinho sees nothing wrong with it.
Details: At a press conference ahead of the Europa League match against Manchester United, Fenerbahçe's head coach stated that Ferguson doesn’t need any formal role because he is already adored by the fans.
Quote: "I don't know the circumstances of his departure; it doesn't matter why or what happened. He enjoys the love and respect of every Manchester United fan around the world, and that is more important than any ambassador role or the money he doesn’t need."
Reminder: Earlier, former Manchester City player and manager Stuart Pearce suggested that Manchester United players should pay Ferguson out of their own pockets and then proposed that the "Citizens" do the same, in hopes that Ferguson would inspire them to new heights.
