Real Madrid are gearing up for the new season.
Details: According to The Touchline, citing Miguel Serrano, the new head coach of Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho, has informed the club's management that he insists on signing 27-year-old Italian defender Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan.
Reports suggest that Mourinho sees Bastoni as the perfect reinforcement for the defensive line, which proved to be the weak link for the Galacticos last season.
Previously, Barcelona were also linked with an interest in Bastoni, but it appears the Blaugrana failed to reach an agreement with Inter.
Last season, Bastoni featured in 40 matches for Inter, scoring 2 goals and providing 6 assists. His current contract with the Nerazzurri runs until 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 65 million euros.
