In the 19th round of Ligue 1, Egyptian international Mostafa Mohamed saved FC Nantes with a thrilling late strike, gaining a 1–1 draw against Olympique Lyonnais.

Ghanaian attacker Ernest Nuamah gave the home team the lead in the tenth minute of the game, which was played at Lyon's stadium. Lyon appeared to be headed for victory, even though the first half was evenly matched.

Nantes persisted, though, and Mohamed, who had in as replacement, headed home a flawless cross from Moses Simon in the 90th minute. The strong header gave Nantes a vital point in their fight to stay in the league after defeating Lyon's goalie Perri.

Mostafa Mohamed hadn't scored in Ligue1 since August 31 against Montpellier, and this was his first goal in 148 days. In 18 game, often as substitute, the Egyptian striker has already scored two goals in the league this season and three goals overall.

With the draw, Nantes moves up to fourteenth position with 18 point, continuing their battle for league survival, while Lyon drops to sixth place with 30 point.
