On the last day of the Ligue 1 season, Moses Simon put on an outstanding display by helping FC Nantes defeat Montpellier 3 - 0 which guaranteed the Canaries place in the top division for another year.

In front of nervous home crowd, the Nigerian winger showed leadership, flair and poise when it counted most during his 200th Ligue 1 appearance.

Simon Delivers Early Blow

Simon was taken down in the box in the eighth minute as he tried to evade opponents. Play was first waved on by the referee, but after VAR intervention, a penalty was awarded, and Simon comfortably put it into the bottom corner to score it 1-0.

  • 21' – Francis Coquelin doubled Nantes’ lead with a strike from the edge of the box.
  • 79' – Simon capped off a complete performance by providing a low cross for Matthis Abline, who made it 3-0.

Still recovering from an ACL injury, Moffi made a late appearance but wasted no time, rounding the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute to grab his goal.

Nice’s dominant win confirmed a 4th-place finish, securing a Champions League spot.
