In the opening match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the Morocco national team will face the Comoros Islands. The Dailysports team have prepared information on where and when to watch this fixture.

Morocco vs Comoros: what to know about the match?

Morocco are the hosts of the tournament and are among, if not the outright, favourites to lift the Africa Cup of Nations trophy. The squad has assembled its biggest stars and will do everything possible to claim the title. However, the first task is to get the tournament off to a strong start against the Comoros Islands.

Comoros will also look to put up a fight and try to take points from the hosts. The team will be aiming to secure a place in the knockout stages. This is their first tournament since 2021 and only the second Africa Cup of Nations in their history. Progressing from the group will not be easy, but they managed to do it in 2021 and will be looking to repeat that achievement.

At the previous tournament, the Comoros Islands did not participate, while Morocco won their group and advanced to the knockout stage. However, they were eliminated in the round of 16 after a 0–2 defeat to South Africa.
