In the third-round match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco faced Zambia and swept them aside with a convincing 3–0 victory, a result that allows them to maintain a historic record.
Details: According to Opta, Morocco have won their group at the Africa Cup of Nations for the fourth consecutive time at this tournament. This is now the longest such streak among all teams in Africa’s most prestigious competition.
Morocco collected seven points from three matches in the current campaign. They defeated the Comoros Islands and Zambia, and played out a draw with Mali. In 2023, Morocco also finished the group stage with seven points, as they did in 2021. In 2019, the Moroccans won all three of their group matches.
