Morgan Rogers is the UEFA Champions League Player of the Day according to Dailysports
On Wednesday, January 29, the final 18 matches of the eighth round of the UEFA Champions League took place, confirming all the teams advancing to the playoff stage. As always, we select the standout player of the day.
In our view, the best performer was Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers. The Birmingham side faced Celtic and secured a 4-2 victory. The English footballer netted a hat-trick against the Celts, but there was an even more remarkable achievement.
Rogers scored twice within the first five minutes of the match, becoming the first player in UEFA Champions League history to do so. For this historic feat, he is named Player of the Day by the Dailysports team.
Reminder: The Dailysports team has prepared the full results for all eighth-round matches.
