"Monster and the Father of Monsters": Pep Guardiola Compares Messi and Ronaldo

Manchester City is gearing up for their League Cup match, and head coach Pep Guardiola was asked during the pre-match press conference to compare Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Details: Guardiola addressed the Ballon d'Or award, stating that no one could surpass Lionel Messi, not even Xavi or Iniesta. Regarding Ronaldo, he acknowledged him as a monster, but emphasized that Messi is the father of monsters.

Quote: "Cristiano Ronaldo was a monster, and the father of the monster is Leo Messi," Guardiola shared his thoughts.

Reminder: Manchester City's central midfielder Rodri unexpectedly won the 2024 Ballon d'Or, while Real Madrid completely ignored the ceremony. This prompted questions for Guardiola about the event.

The Spanish coach recalled last year's Ballon d'Or ceremony when Erling Haaland attended despite Messi's victory.
