Monaco slam €39m door! Chelsea told Camara's true price

Camara has emerged as a serious target for Chelsea during a frantic final stretch of the transfer window. The 22 year old midfielder has impressed with Monaco and is viewed as a player capable of bringing energy, ball winning ability and progression from the centre of the pitch. Chelsea's interest has been linked to uncertainty around Enzo Fernández, with the club assessing possible replacements should the Argentine's situation develop. Monaco, however, are in a strong position and have no apparent intention of allowing one of their key midfielders to leave at a discounted price. The difference between the reported €39 million enquiry and Monaco's desired fee leaves significant work to be done. Chelsea must now decide whether to improve their proposal, turn to another target or wait for Monaco's stance to change as the deadline approaches. At this stage, the move remains a live possibility rather than a completed deal.
It's worth noting that Camara joined Monaco from Metz in 2024. The Senegalese midfielder has also attracted interest from other Premier League clubs during the summer.
