Monaco have received the most red cards among teams from Europe’s top five leagues
In a UEFA Champions League clash, Monaco fell 1–2 to Paris Saint-Germain and were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League, but that was not the end of their woes, as the Monegasques were shown another red card.
Details: As reported by Stats Foot, Monaco have now accumulated nine red cards this season. It is the highest tally among all clubs competing in Europe’s top five leagues.
There was also a red card in the other match. The Bianconeri were reduced to ten men. Lloyd Kelly stepped on his opponent’s foot and was initially shown a second yellow card. However, just minutes later, the referee reviewed the decision and upgraded it to a straight red.
Reminder: The Real Madrid board has demonstrated a zero-tolerance policy toward radical behavior in the stands.
