Mokwena not on the shortlist of North African giants

South African coach Rhulani Mokwena was recently close to returning to his homeland. However, negotiations with Orlando Pirates fell through, and now he is back on the market — a situation ripe for speculation.
Details: Some media outlets have linked Mokwena with Algerian giants MC Alger, who recently parted ways with head coach Khaled Ben Yahia following the end of his six-month contract. But according to El Djazaïr El Djadida, the name of the South African coach is not currently on the club’s radar.
MC Alger is aiming to bring in a high-profile figure from the continent, as club officials have set an ambitious goal — achieving international success.
Reminder: Earlier reports also suggested that Mokwena could replace Croatian manager Krunoslav Jurić at Egyptian side Pyramids FC.
