The manager of the Moroccan national team said he was relieved by an outcome he considers beneficial for his team.

The decision by the Confederation of African Football to strip Senegal of the African championship title and award it to Morocco continues to provoke reactions. Morocco’s new manager, Mohamed Ouahbi, gave his views on Thursday 19 March during a press conference in which he unveiled the squad list for the international break. But the manager’s stance came as no surprise. He welcomed the African Football Confederation’s verdict.

This is very good news. I think it can only be positive. It is a decision taken by CAF; the federation has played a significant part in this, but everything concerning what happened previously during the Africa Cup of Nations will be handled by the federation and the relevant authorities. I will have a squad of players who are highly motivated to perform well at the World Cup.
